This vintage 1970s Zuni Pueblo channel inlay hummingbird brooch pendant features beautiful sky blue turquoise stones set in sterling (not stamped) silver. Handmade in the United States most likely by Native American artist Ellen Quandelancy (many of her pieces were unsigned), this example showcases traditional Zuni design elements. Ellen was the family matriarch of a number of other Zuni artisans - she was also known for her horse fetish designs. Measuring approximately 1 1/4” in diameter this brooch is in excellent condition with no damage or missing elements. Contains 15 intricately hand shaped/set turquoise stones.
