Credits are correct for the issue. No barcode, as expected pre-1976. Original 1971 first printing , not a facsimile and not a reprint. CONDITION: VG- 3.5. The flaws, first: A long vertical crease running from the top edge down through the right third of the cover and across the MIRACLE logo. Further diagonal creases in the lower right . Several break colour. Shot 02 is lit from the side specifically to show these, because flat light hides them almost completely. Widespread surface abrasion with a fine crinkled texture across the cover, heaviest at the lower left. The white escape-pod panels have gone grey. This is the defect that keeps the book out of a clean VG. Spine edge colour rub , a dent near the bottom of the spine , and scattered ticks. Shot 04. Light edge whitening along the right and bottom. Light blunting at all four corners. Shots 05 to 08. Interior pages are cream to tan. Light oxidation on the lower staple. No rust staining migrating into the paper. Shot 13. What holds up: All four corners are intact. No chipping, no tears, no paper loss anywhere on the book. Photographed close in shots 05 through 08 so you can judge them yourself. The spine is flat, tight and unsplit. No roll, no separation, no delamination. The spine legend is fully legible and the red is still red. Shot 04. Complete. No pages missing, no married cover, and the record-club coupon pages are uncut . Shot 12. Back cover is markedly cleaner than the front , with light tanning and nothing else. Both staples present, seated flat and clean , with the upper staple still bright. No pulling through, no tearing at the staple holes, and no rust halo in the surrounding newsprint. The centerfold is attached and lies flat. Shot 13. No tape, no writing, no stamps, no water staining. Pages are supple, with no brittleness. An honest, complete, structurally sound copy of a Bronze Age key. It has been read and it shows, and every defect is photographed above under side lighting rather than hidden behind a flat shot.
