On a white glazed ground, the floral pattern is done in shades of deep blue with gold rim accent,  The sloping, curved sides create a shallow bowl basin designed for serving fruit, salads, or desserts.   This is really hard to find now, bought new, never used for food, only displayed, in mint condition, no chips, no cracks at all.
