The cup has a smudged spot at the bottom which I think is from the manufacturer (but I am not sure). This listing is for a 5 piece place setting for one person: 1 dinner plate, 1 salad plate, 1 bread & butter plate, 1 cup and 1 saucer.  I do not know the name of this pattern but I think it is called MEI419, but I am not sure. Perhaps an eBayer that is more knowledgeable will let me know. It has a yellowish cream border with flowers and gold rim. Each of the 5 pieces are shown in the pictures, front and back starting with the dinner plate, followed by the salad plate etc.... The 5 pieces are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a some loss of the gold but the majority is intact as is seen in the pictures.  Otherwise, the pieces look hardly used with a few utensil marks, if any. The motif is in great condition as you can see in the pictures. The cup has a smudged spot at the bottom which I think is from the manufacturer (but I am not sure). You can see this in the last picture. . It looks to me that this was smeared while it was soft and then the glaze applied. It is priced accordingly (the other sets will be priced a little higher).   The dinner plate measures about 9 3/4" across. The salad plate measures about 7 3/4" across. The bread and butter plate measures about 6 3/8" across. These pieces are hand painted in Japan. There are more of these place settings available. I am also listing other pieces belonging to this pattern including  the vegetable serving bowl, gravy boat, and soup bowls. I can combine shipping whenever possible (but not always so as to reduce the risk of breakage).
