This is a 5-piece matched vintage set (pindant/brooch/enhancer, two different chain necklaces, and earrings). All the pieces included are part of the original and complete set, which is seldom ever seen in its entirely in one offering. It is a wonderfully versatile set, as the pieces can be worn individually, or mixed and matched. Piece 1: The pin/brooch. This can be worn a number of ways. This is a 5-piece matched vintage set (pindant/brooch/enhancer, two different chain necklaces, and earrings). All the pieces included are part of the original and complete set, which is seldom ever seen in its entirely in one offering. It is a wonderfully versatile set, as the pieces can be worn individually, or mixed and matched. Piece 1: The pin/brooch. This can be worn a number of ways. It is first, a pin and enhancer. It has a locking enhancer clip which allows you to open it up and place it on one of the included necklaces, or even your own pearl strand (GORGEOUS when worn with pearls). Its center is a little rollerball which is studded with clear diamond Swarovski crystals on one half, and a textural design imprint on the other (this spins to be worn on one side or the other). The brooch and all pieces are set in buttery warm yellow goldtone metal. There is lots of high design openwork, and is studded throughout the arms of the cross with tiny clear stones. It measures 2-1/2", and is signed with the copyright mark and the letters KJL on the reverse. Pieces 2 & 3: Two chains. There are two chains in this set, and they are different styles. Both are significant and substantial in weight. The first chain is plain with no adornment, and measures 36" long, closes with a strong lobster claw clasp, and is signed with the copyright mark and KJL. The second chain is 48". You can wrap it, or even wear it as a belt. The links look they have been diamond cut, so there is lovely shine, and it holds four-sided open lacy filigree stations (there are four) along it's length, adding interesting detail. It closes with a strong lobster claw clasp, and is signed copyright KJL. Pieces 4 & 5: The earrings. The earrings are a smaller version of the pindant. They are clip backs and measure 1-1/8" in diameter. The clips have small foam backs for comfort, and each earring is signed. All pieces are in brand new, never worn condition, and all are USA made. You'll enjoy finding different ways to "play" with these statusy pieces all year long. Final note: The earrings to this set are a "book piece" and can be seen in the collector's guide "Fabulous" by Nancy Schiffer on page 34.
