The base features the authentic six-character iron-red seal mark of the Tongzhi Emperor (1862-1874). This rare and vibrant tureen is a masterpiece of Late Qing Famille Rose enameling. Modeled in the form of a leaping Koi (Carp), a powerful Chinese symbol representing perseverance, success, and high ambition, the piece features intricately hand-painted scales in a rich palette of iron-red, gilt, and polychrome enamels. The fish's expression is lifelike, with finely detailed fins and a "Dragon-Gate" vitality characteristic of the mid-19th century. The base features the authentic six-character iron-red seal mark of the Tongzhi Emperor (1862-1874). The porcelain displays the heavy, substantial potting and slightly "pitted" glaze typical of the Tongzhi and Guangxu transition, ensuring its status as a true period piece rather than a modern reproduction.
