It is one of the four prints from the Garden Four Subjects series, originally created in 1929. This later edition retains the artist’s delicate attention to detail, subtle gradations of color, and refined composition. The Yoshida embossed seal confirms its authenticity. Note : This is a posthumous (later) impression using the original blocks under the supervision of the Yoshida family studio.  About the Artist: Hiroshi Yoshida (1876–1950) Hiroshi Yoshida is one of the most celebrated artists of the shin-hanga (new prints) movement in early 20th-century Japan. Born in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, he trained in Western painting techniques and later embraced traditional woodblock printmaking. Yoshida was a pioneer in self-publishing and personally oversaw every stage of the printmaking process—from drawing and carving to printing—often signing his finest works with the “Jizuri” seal. His travels across Japan and around the world deeply influenced his landscapes, which are known for their harmonious use of color and light.
