For your consideration is a lovely gold-tone metal butterfly pin.  This pin without makers marks.  This pin is pre-owned as such, there may be slight natural wear and tear.  I have personally examined this piece and found little evidence of visible wear.  The actual age of this pin is not know but it is styled in the swirling fashion of designs common in Art Nouveau period.    It has fabulous detail and is  a sold piece.  The wings are curved and cutout with a ribbon pattern which is raised with its scrolling elements to give it a 3-d effect.  The finishing on the back is as lovely as it is on the front.  It has a quality feel to it.   For a small pin at about 1 inch high, it packs a great deal of style.  It is a bright gold tone metal.  The natural coloration of the piece is best shown in the image with the hand.   The metal is unmarked with minimal wear and tear showing on the surface.  The pin mechanism is in good working order with a safety clasp.  It measures 1 inch long by 3/4 inches wide.  This item was examined and is vintage previously owned  and as noted the actual age is not known.  It does looked like an older cast piece since the mold hatch markings are on the back of the pin.
