VINTAGE 1960s PLAYSKEEL/HALSAM #1050 WOODEN BLOCK SET This is a rare opportunity to acquire a  COMPLETE SET of 40 of the classic, durable wooden alphabet blocks made by Halsam, a division of Playskool, during the mid-century era. This set is highly collectible due to its age and the presence of the original, branded storage bag. Each block is approximately 1.5" square. Two sides have raised letters on a white background. The other sides are flat with printed letters. The drawstring bag has two blocks attached to the strings. KEY FEATURES: COMPLETE SET: Includes all 40 of the original 1-inch wooden alphabet blocks. Dimensions: Each block is approximately 1.5 inches square. Unique Features: Blocks feature raised/embossed letters on two sides (white background) and flat printed letters on the other sides, a signature feature of this vintage Halsam set. Original Packaging: Comes with the iconic orange and white canvas drawstring bag with No. 1050 and Halsam Products Co. Division of Playskool printing with original two wooden blocks attached to the strings —a rare find! Era: Estimated to be from the early to mid-1960s. CONDITION NOTES (MUST READ!): Blocks: The blocks are in excellent vintage condition with clear, bright printing on all sides. Normal, minor wear consistent with gentle use and age (e.g., slight paint loss/surface rubbing). No significant chips or damage. See photos. Bag: The original canvas bag is in good collectible condition, but does show wear consistent with age: There is a small, clear tear/rip near the drawstring opening (see photos for detail). Some faint age/storage discoloration on the fabric. All original printing is clear and legible.
