Condition notes; there appears to be a hairline on the lid; it is noticeable on the inside; we cannot feel it though. • The mark on the reverse of this bowl is a genuine Nippon porcelain backstamp, specifically the green "M in Wreath" mark, which signifies a piece from the Morimura Bros. (who later became Noritake). The "M" stands for Morimura. The Morimura brothers were a Japanese trading company that later founded the Noritake company. This specific mark was used on items exported from Japan to the United States and other countries.
