Tree trunks also have flowers and vines on the front. Vintage Double Bud Vase MCM Colorful Parrot Trio Ceramic Japan Hand-Painted Hand Painted in the Japanese Majolica style; which means brightly colored and fired at a low temperature in the kiln. It's 3 Colorful Parrots sitting on a fence in between 2 tree trunks. The tree trunks are the bud vases and they are painted blue. You know like all the blue trees in your neighborhood (!?).  Tree trunks also have flowers and vines on the front. The Colorful Parrots are orange, yellow and green and have pretty cute faces. It kind of looks like they are chatting.  In the past, when I have seen two vases connected like this, it is called a Budgate. The word budgate perfectly describes the function & form.
