They are glass and they are a fabulous orange color. I just couldn't get the color quite right in the photos. They look more reddish in the pics but they are truly orange. The necklace measures about 55 inches long. The large round beads are about 11mm. The beads were re-strung at some time - I am not sure when - but the clasp looks like a newer version of those they used in the 1940's. The necklace is tightly strung and could benefit from a little gravity to help straighten it out completely. I will hang it on a hanger for a few days to begin the process.
