Starting in 1986 the date was written on the sewn-in tag. Prior to 1986 the date DID NOT identify the actual year of manufacture. The date was the copyright for the doll's head or body. If there was a second date, it indicated the year that the artwork, the head and/or body were redesigned by Annalee. So very many dolls listed on Ebay are not listing the correct date.  I have all Annalee catalogues going back to the beginning and I am very accurate with the dates my dolls were produced.  Thank you. The post office raised their prices this year.  Small Packages from California to the East Coast shipping used to be approximately $6.50. Now that same package is $8.40. I have been losing money and basically giving the ornaments away. Sorry that I am revising the shipping cost on many of my listings.
