This is quite a unique necklace. It is not new and is being sold as is. It is a true vintage, possibly antique, piece.  I love old stuff and like it to look its age, others may not, so please ZOOM in look carefully at the images and fine details. There is so much to look at! The necklace is marked China on the back of the hanging pendant and there are no other markings that I see. All of the turquoise stones feel firmly in place to me, but I was not aggressive with the necklace at all.  The stones are all different sizes. A few small ones look odd, but I can not tell if that is because of their shape or the metal bezel around them. I  have no idea what the metal is.   I did not try to clean or polish it because I do not want to ruin the metal or turquoise with harsh chemicals. Some folks may wear it as it is and some may want to restore the finish somehow. I love old items and prefer them to look their age.  As shown, in some areas the metal has a copper sort of look, which could be aged patina, and in other areas it is more of a gilt metal or brass. I have no idea what it is. The clasp is working great. The pendant has 2 small circles at the bottom as if perhaps there was something else hanging from it. Please look at all of the images to form your own opinion as to the condition of the item listed as my personal opinion may differ from yours. I like old, vintage items to look their age, some folks do not. I have been selling on eBay for over 26 years and love what I do. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I have no idea if jewelry was repaired or altered from its original condition unless it is obvious to me, and if so, I will mention it. Please note: On occasion, some items marked and tested gold & silver may have a light magnetic draw around areas where other metal may be used to make the jewelry such as a clasp, underlying base metal chains/ wire metals, soldered areas, etc. this is common. Sterling silver and Rhodium are not magnetic; however, other magnetic metals may be and are often used as a base in the manufacturing process of Rhodium or gold plating (vermeil) to adhere the topcoat to sterling.  I am finding this much more common in newer, mass-produced sterling jewelry with gold vermeil & Rhodium plating or beaded sterling jewelry with metal wires. I bring this up because although there is a lot of fake silver & gold out there, some folks think if a piece of jewelry marked sterling or 925 is magnetic then it must be fake, which is not necessarily true. Manufacturers mark sterling jewelry with gold vermeil or rhodium plating with a simple 925 or sterling. They are not obligated to add additional plating information, so they do not.
