This exquisite piece is a vintage Marcel Boucher costume brooch, specifically identified by the design registration number 7921P. Made in the form of a lily, this large-scale figural brooch is a classic example of Boucher's highly sculptural and refined mid-century aesthetic prowess Very few of this style to be found. Signed Marcel  Boucher. The design of this Lily flower brooch is absolutely fabulous. The stones are clear and striking, with none missing. The stamens are set with sparkling crystal as they also  highlight the petals, and each petal is dimensional and gorgeous all by itself. Rare brooch! 4" Marcel Boucher (who previously worked for Cartier) is renowned for his "Flower of the Month" series and other intricate floral designs from the 1940s through the 1960s. Pieces like this lily brooch are highly sought after by collectors for their fine-jewelry quality construction, featuring multiple assembled parts and secure rollover pin clasps. This design by Boucher is nearly impossible to find. One sold in Australia for about $800 and another is available on Etsy for $1100. Both of those had colored stones installed.
