Premium Craftsmanship & Joinery: features tight, machine cut interlocking box joints along the corners-providing great structural strength. Wood type: solid dense quarter sawn white oak with gorgeous pronounced ray flecks and natural grain patterns throughout the top and sides. Hardware: Original hardware complete with the original stamped brass combination drawer pull and label index holder frame on the exterior. Interior functionality: Outfitted with an authentic period correct green painted heavy steel compressor follower block stamped with the GLOBE maker’s mark, sliding along the center stabilizing rod. Measurements: Exterior length 12.5 in Exterior width 6.75 in Exterior height 5 in Condition: This unit is in a solid authentic antique condition with a tight frame. The drawer pulls out smoothly. The wood features honest century old weathered dark speckled patina on the top surface with historical ink stains, natural surface distressing and antique industrial library character. The internal metal rod and globe plate move but currently exhibit mechanical resistance so need some attention, cleaning or a light oiling to restore completely smooth gliding functionality.
