Condition is very good; there is typical, light wear to all wood surfaces but only a few tiny dings that have been touched up with matching paint. The gold gilding is all original with no repairs. Inside is the original wavy, bubbly glass. This is an original antique (late 19th century) deep walnut picture frame with an opening in the back measuring 17 7/8" x 13 7/8" for a slightly cropped 14x18" picture. The frame features a contoured walnut outer layer with painted black outer and inner edges and original gold gilt inner layer. Inside is the original wavy, bubbly glass. It has a hanging wire attached for hanging horizontally, but the wire could be moved to hang it vertically instead.  Condition is very good; there is typical, light wear to all wood surfaces but only a few tiny dings that have been touched up with matching paint. The gold gilding is all original with no repairs. All corners are tight and the frame is sturdy and functional. A cardboard piece will be slid in the opening behind the glass for protection before it is padded and packed for shipping.  Outer dimensions are 19 5/8" x 23 5/8".
