Beautiful vintage solid brass picture frame featuring an ornate Art Nouveau floral design surrounding a heart-shaped photo opening. The frame has sweeping botanical forms and an intentional teal-green verdigris finish, with warm brass showing through along the raised and worn areas for wonderful depth and contrast. This design matches known vintage Silvestri brass frames, although this example retains no visible maker’s label or marking. Measures approximately 8” tall x 5 1/2” wide. Heavy, substantial cast brass construction with an easel back for tabletop display. In good vintage condition with age-related wear and patina throughout. No glass is included. One of the four small rotating tabs that secures the backing is missing; the remaining three hold the backing securely in place. The easel has a small torn/worn area near the hinge, but remains functional. A gorgeous decorative frame with especially beautiful color and patina—perfect for displaying a favorite photograph, portrait, or other small piece of artwork. Condition: Used.
