The underside of the bottle bears a faint etched “Made in Czechoslovakia” marking. There is also a small hand-scratched matching/assembly-type mark on the underside of the stopper. The stopper is also beautifully decorated to coordinate with the bottle. Beautiful antique Czechoslovakian blue glass perfume/scent bottle, believed to date to approximately the 1920s–1930s Art Deco period. This substantial bottle is made of rich translucent blue glass with a multi-sided faceted form and extensive frosted/etched decoration. The panels feature Asian-inspired scenic and ornamental motifs, including trees, water, pavilion-like structures, scrolling designs, and decorative medallions. The decoration continues around the body, shoulder, neck, and matching faceted stopper. The bottle retains its original-style fitted ground-glass stopper, which has a short frosted/ground plug rather than a long perfume dauber. The stopper is also beautifully decorated to coordinate with the bottle. The underside of the bottle bears a faint etched “Made in Czechoslovakia” marking. There is also a small hand-scratched matching/assembly-type mark on the underside of the stopper. Approximate measurements: • 5 1/2” tall with stopper in place • 3” wide Condition: Antique condition with age-related wear, surface scratches, small nicks/flea bites and imperfections consistent with age and use. There is a noticeable chipped/flaked area along the lower edge of the ground-glass stopper, along with smaller edge nicks.
