This is a vintage multi-sided lidded ceramic jar, commonly referred to as a ginger jar, biscuit barrel, or decorative urn The piece features a distinct hexagonal or octagonal paneled shape with a black-and-gold bordered grid layout. The panels are decorated with hand-painted, stylized floral rosettes and geometric patterns reminiscent of the Aesthetic Movement or Art Deco design influences. The domed lid incorporates a tiered petal design in pink and white tones, crowned by a metallic gold-toned pedestal knob.
