The blade is securely fitted into a solid brass ferrule and paired with a beautifully turned ash wood handle featuring the classic red Robert Sorby branding. The ash handle is solid with no cracks or splits, and the brass ferrule is tight and secure. The HSS blade has plenty of usable life remaining and can be sharpened many more times. There is some light cosmetic surface staining/oxidation consistent with normal shop use. This is cosmetic only and does not affect the tool's functionality.
