See highlighted description below.   Sold "as is" as always.    Cleaned, polished, and twice tested*.  Twenty-five (25) C9 intermediate base lamps (the light bulb is the glass part).  USA made General Electric or Westinghouse lamps embossed with the familiar flame pattern. Weather proof lamps with interior color coatings (inside paint) that does not chip, peal, or fade, ever!  The box itself is new.  American made lamps are said to last four times longer than their foreign counter parts. The colors are 5 Blue, 5 Green, 5 Red, 5 Yellow, and 5 very hard to find White. *All my lamps are twice tested - once upon arrival, once before they are boxed.  I mean load tested not continuity tested. Having a circuit (continuity) is a good thing, but having a circuit within the required vacuum - that's what makes them light up!   Extend the life of your light sets: Before decorating, bring your light sets inside over night and let them warm up, or plug them in and let them heat up.  This makes the wire flexible and decorating easier. Occasionally apply some vinyl dressing to keep the insulation soft and flexible for years to come.  Automotive vinyl top dressings and even Avon Skin So Soft (a light oil) works well. Extend the life of your incandescent lamps - buy a 300 + watt sliding dimmer for incandescent lights for about $15.  Reduce the power 15 to 20% and your Vintage Christmas light bulbs will last a lot longer.   Evolution - C9 Outdoor Made in USA Christmas Lamps / light bulbs (1927 – 1977) 1927-1932 General Electric/Westinghouse C9 Outdoor Mazda Lamps – Glass bulbs embossed with a flame pattern, exterior matte paint , “MAZDA MADE IN USA” is stamped on their brass bases and printed on their glass bulb. The printing rubs off easily. They are unpopular because the paint chips, scratches, and falls off in typical winter weather. 1933-1945 General Electric/Westinghouse C9 Outdoor Mazda Lamps - Glass bulbs embossed with a flame pattern, interior color coatings that cannot chip, peel, or fade, “MAZDA MADE IN USA” is stamped on their brass bases and printed on their glass bulb.  The printing rubs off easily.  The lamps are so popular GE/W required retailers to sign a contract to carry a full line of Mazda Lamps gaining market share even during the depression. 1945 The “Mazda” advertising and standardization consortium ends. “MAZDA” no longer appears anywhere on the lamps. 1946-1951 General Electric/Westinghouse C9 Outdoor Lamps - Glass bulbs embossed with a flame pattern, interior color coatings, that cannot chip, peel, or fade, “GE” or “Westinghouse” and “USA” is stamped on their brass bases and G-E or “W” is printed on their glass bulbs.  The printing rubs off easily.  Even more popular. 1951-1955 General Electric/Westinghouse C9 Outdoor Lamps - Glass bulbs embossed with a flame pattern, interior color coatings, “GE” or “Westinghouse”and “USA” is stamped on their aluminum bases and G-E or “W” is printed on their glass bulbs.  More popular than ever. 1956 General Electric/Westinghouse C9 Outdoor Lamps - Glass bulbs embossed with a flame pattern, heavy exterior ceramic enamel color coating , and aluminum bases. Durable and cooler at 7 watts, but the coloring was uneven on the embossed glass bulbs. Embossed bulbs are discontinued the following year.  Many disagreed with the decision.  Collectors say these were the most distinctive lamps / Light bulbs made to date making them the rarest and most collectable lamps.  Produced for only one year!  1957-1977 General Electric/Westinghouse C9 Outdoor Translucent Lamps - D14 smooth bulbs with exterior ceramic enamel color coating , and aluminum bases.  Very popular, durable, cooler at 7 watts they produce vivid colors. With age they take on a mottled, chalky, worn appearance. When lit, they are as bright and vibrant as ever. 1958-1977 General Electric/Westinghouse C9 Outdoor Transparent Lamps - D15 smooth bulbs with exterior acrylic lacquer color coating , and aluminum bases.  Very popular, fairly durable,cooler at 7 watts they produce vivid jewel bright colors.  1958-1977 General Electric/Westinghouse C9 Outdoor Transparent Twinkle Lamps– D27 smooth bulbs with exterior acrylic lacquer color coating , and aluminum bases.  Identical to the D15 bulbs but with a bi-metal strip inside making the on and off twinkling connection they are very popular, fairly durable, cooler at 7 watts they produce vivid jewel bright colors. Discernible from the D15 bulbs only by close examination. 3.1 - 3.13 Condition: Used.
