The silver-tone body is accented by a bright brass openwork filigree band around the center, creating a beautiful contrast between the aged silver finish and warm gold-tone detailing. The upper portion features a wide drip cup with a raised central socket sized to hold a standard taper candle. Vintage Bombay Company taper candlestick featuring a substantial octagonal base and striking mixed-metal design. The silver-tone body is accented by a bright brass openwork filigree band around the center, creating a beautiful contrast between the aged silver finish and warm gold-tone detailing. The upper portion features a wide drip cup with a raised central socket sized to hold a standard taper candle. Marked BOMBAY on the felt-covered underside. Measures approximately 5 3/4” tall with a base approximately 4 1/2” across at the widest point. Good vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. The silver-tone finish has areas of tarnish, discoloration, scratches, spotting and finish loss, with warm brass-colored metal visible beneath in areas, particularly along edges and raised surfaces. The construction is believed to be silver-plated brass with contrasting brass openwork detailing. Some oxidation/verdigris is present around portions of the filigree band. Residual candle wax is present inside the candle cup. Felt on the underside shows wear, lint and discoloration. Please review photos closely for condition and details.
