For your consideration is a lovely bright gold-tone large bold butterfly pin. The wings are crafted with an embossed pattern with brightly colored flowers in red, blue and purple. It has a wide top wingspan and narrower bottom one. For your consideration is a lovely bright gold-tone large bold butterfly pin. It has a wide top wingspan and narrower bottom one.  It has a pendant loop in addition to the pin mechanism so that it can be worn either way.   The butterfly body is made of a gold-tone tublike shape.  Atop its round gold-tone beaded head, are its twisted antennae. Intricate details to the design of this piece!   Excellent design and condition. The pin mechanism is a c-clasp and it is in working order.  The loop for the pendant is in tact, This vintage pin is pre-owned and as such may show some signs of wear and tear. I have examined it and found that It is pre-owned with little evidence of wear and tear to the naked eye.     Check the photos for details as it is part of the description of this item. It measures 1.25 inches high by 1.5 inch wide ( from top of antennae to the bottom ) There are no makers markings or hallmarks on the piece and the age of the piece is not known.  With the type of pin closure, c-clasp with no safety, it may be earlier than 1940.   This piece is lightweight but carries a lot of glitz and glamour!
