I had to accept my limitations of ability and the limitations of physical reality, to be able to proceed. This painting is one of my most recent paintings. My original acrylic painting on 11x14 canvas with metallic gold and white is titled Golden Angel Wings. The metallics shine in any light and the gold looks richer or paler and the patterns that are sculpted into the wings reflect differently in different lights. This painting evokes a peaceful, uplifting mood. Forty years ago i was permitted to see angels. What i saw and heard is forever inscribed in my heart. They looked like light radiating out in all directions from the area where a heart would be, while at the same time, radiating from all directions to that center. There were harmonious colors in the light, like portions of rainbows. It took me many years to begin to portray what i had seen. I had to accept my limitations of ability and the limitations of physical reality, to be able to proceed. I started with painting more conventional images of angels, but gradually became more comfortable attempting to depict more of what i had actually seen.
