Luhrs (Beistle) Die-Cut Cat/Moon Originally priced at 19¢ Approximately 14" x 12" DATA:  The Founder: Martin Luther Beistle started the company in 1900. The Successor: When Martin Beistle died in 1935, ownership passed to his son-in-law, Henry E. Luhrs. The "H.E. Luhrs" Mark: Henry Luhrs ran the company and became president in 1941. During the 1940s and early 1950s, many of the company's famous paper and cardboard die-cut decorations (like vintage Halloween and Christmas items) featured copyright marks or stamps with the "H.E.
