They are handmade, hand painted and signed by the artist. The colors used are cobalt blue, green, rust and brown. These figural candlestick holders can also be used as small vases. They are so adorable, you will want to display them when they are not  being used. They have been gently used, but are still in new condition. 1 st Quality guaranteed from the renowned Ceramika Artystyczna Factory in Boleslawiec Hand painted and stamped and signed by the artist Crack and chip resistant Lead and cadmium free--safe for everyday use 5" Tall x 2.75" wide with a 1" opening for the candle We call it Polish Pottery because it's made in Poland. It is actually stoneware, made from white clay and fired twice at very high temperatures, which makes it durable and functional. Each piece is safe for use in the oven, microwave and dishwasher, which makes it perfect for daily use. Artisans use a method of hand stamping with sponge stencils, each created to be used in the creation of patterns. Newer designs are more complicated, using more shapes and colors within the designs. As the designs become more complicated, so does the required skills, hence the difference in pricing. Considering the skills needed to create the designs and the superior function of the stoneware, these pieces are valued collectibles. The glazes used are lead and cadmium free. The wonderful aspect of collecting Polish Pottery is that the patterns are inherently easy to mix and match due to the common colors used and the way the different patterns work together to make beautiful and interesting collections. Most of the pieces of Polish Pottery that I will be selling are from the Ceramika Artystyczna factory. This factory  is known for creating some of the finest pieces of Polish Pottery. The pottery is handmade and painted from the most sought after artisans in Boleslawiec and some of the pieces are limited editions and signed with the artist’s signature.
