It was designed by Maria Stanziani, one of Bucilla's top designers, who is no longer with them. This kit was produced by Bucilla in 2006. It has been in my position since it was created. All my kits are brand new or sterilized if purchased on the secondary market.  All kits are germ-free. "Polar Bears" is a very rare, discontinued kit with a precious Polar Bear family celebrating Christmas.  It Is adorable for anyone.  The polar bears have the sweetest face, much like those of an earlier designer, Sandy Garbrandt.  You will love this stocking when completed.  This is an original Polar Bear stocking.  This stocking has enough color to definitely set it apart from the other stockings on your mantle. This stocking kit was the first edition by Bucilla and not the later reproductions by Plaid or others.  It was designed by Maria Stanziani, one of Bucilla's top designers, who is no longer with them.  This kit was produced by Bucilla in 2006. It has been in my position since it was created. When completed, it is 18 inches in diagonal length.  This kit contains stamped felts, cotton floss, color separated sequins and beads, 2 needles, easy-to-follow instructions and directions for personalization.  Everything you need to complete the stocking are in the kit except for the polyester filling or the filling of your choice.    "Polar Bears" had a relatively short life span so the original kits are rare and very limited.  Since this kit was shipped directly from Bucilla to me, I can honestly say it comes from a clean, smoke-free, pet-free environment. This is probably the only one listed on eBay that is direct from the manufacturer.  This is not a 2012 reproduction that is sold at much cheaper prices.  The authentic Bucilla Polar Bear stocking kit is 18" in diagonal length and does not have the red panel on the package or the shortened packaging bag.  It is not a reproduction or a second.   It is washable but the reproductions from 2012 are not, they will bleed. This kit is made entirely in the U.S. with all approvals.  It is higher quality components than the reproductions.  Reproductions are made in China, France, and India. Please do not bid/buy on any of items unless you are certain to pay. All non paying bidders will be blocked permanently from all my items in the future. Delivery confirmation and insurance are included in your shipping and handling charge on all items. In case of loss or damage, please contact me and I will file all claims. I wrap all of my kits in white tissue and label them so that there is no chance of the kit opening during` transit and losing a bead or sequin. It preserves the cleanliness of the kit as well. All of my kits are from a clean, smoke-free, pet-free environment except for the vintage kits. I do take extra precaution on all vintage kits or opened to maintain they are germ-free. Since vintage kits go through so many hands, it is for this reason that my kits cost a little more because they are completely sterilized using the procedure that is used in a surgical procedure. I don't just wipe down the outside of a package with a germicide. I sterilize completely throughout the kit. There is a grommet hole, a hole which is used for displaying the kit, ornament, etc., germs and bacteria can go through the grommet hole on any kit. It is worth it to make sure your kit is germ-free. I will never sell you an incomplete or dirty kit. If I receive a kit that has a torn, dirty or in an extremely worn plastic package, I will replace it with a new bag and professionally heat seal it.
