A charming Victorian Vase to add to your collection.  Pink satin case  glass Rose Bowl vase.   This lovely bowl has beautiful color in the glass with a satin finish  and has a nice crimped edge.  It is in  very good condition with no chips, cracks .  It needs a good cleaning. It  appears to be from the late Victorian period (1880-1900). Size -Fluted rim Vase, 5"X5", 4 1/2" tall. Rose bowls were produced to hold assorted rose petals  for a visual and fragrant decorative  accent- It was used like potpourri today, but can be used as a  vase also for a fragrant bouquet. These bowls were made in  various colors, shapes and materials in glass factories both in he U.S. and in Europe. This rose bowl is  a lovely spherical shaped with 8  inward crimps on rim.It appears to be hand blown but I cant be certain.It looks like cased  glass  with white color on  inside  and  pink on outside.I apologize for not washing it before photographs--packed  away for  many years but with  good cleaning  would  look stunning. This gorgeous  piece catches the light and will display beautifully in your china cabinet or anywhere that allows it to catch the light.
