The hinged bail folds in and is hidden when you want to wear it as a pin, and up when you want to wear it on a chain. This antique 10K solid yellow gold (marked) pin/pendant features a beautifully hand-carved pink conch shell cameo in an engraved frame. The woman has wavy hair with a large hair ornament on top, and seems to be blowing into points up and down in the back.  The frame is flat with an engraved design all around. The hinged bail folds in and is hidden when you want to wear it as a pin, and up when you want to wear it on a chain. The pin/pendant is 1 5/8 inches high, 1 3/8 inches wide, and weighs 9.5 grams. It is in excellent condition: no chips, cracks or scratches. Please note: there are vertical lines on the face, neck and chest of the cameo; these are striations in the shell, not cracks.
