The outside is a lovely cobalt blue with hand-painted gold gilt. The stand is not included. This auction is for a small, hand-painted Japanese bowl.  It is a Meiji period, circa 1900, Satsuma(earthenware) bowl, produced in Kyoto, Japan.  It has the mark of Kanzan who worked for the Kyoto Porcelain Company.   The interior of the bowl is decorated with a design termed "thousand butterflies".  The outside is a lovely cobalt blue with hand-painted gold gilt.  It is approximately 2" in height, 5" diameter at the top and 2" diameter at the bottom.  I do not see any chips or cracks, but it has some areas of minor rubbing commensurate with age. The stand is not included.
