The dish was a limited-edition piece made between 1941-1946 only. The dish is heart or strawberry shaped with a finger loop handle on one end. It sits 1 3/4" high, is 7" from the handle to the opposite tip and is 6 1/8" wide. The item for sale is a vintage Anchor Hocking clear hobnail and Moonstone opalescent rim glass heart candy dish. The dish was a limited-edition piece made between 1941-1946 only. It was produced in Salem, New Jersey, where the company had its factory at the time. The dish is heart or strawberry shaped with a finger loop handle on one end. It sits 1 3/4" high, is 7" from the handle to the opposite tip and is 6 1/8" wide. The dish is 1 1/2" deep. The piece is pressed glass and has a clear hobnail pattern on the body. The top rim is Anchor Hocking's Moonstone design, a beautiful white opalescent color. When held to the light, you can see the "opal fire" in colors of orange, red and pink. The finger loop handle has a thumb tab and is clear glass. The bottom of the piece has a Daisy petaled flower design. The dish has no damage, cracks, chips, scratches or flea bites. It was either rarely or never used. It is perfect for serving nuts or candy or even condiments or relishes at dinners.
