I don't know whether it was cleaned after the wearing but it was pretty clean when I first found it. The lace at the bottom is not as white as it once was but it still looks beatiful when looking at the gown as a whole. The dress is awesome. It was top of the line in style and price when purchased (probably late 80's or early 90's. It is in remarkable condition. I don't know whether it was cleaned after the wearing but it was pretty clean when I first found it. I spot cleaned some areas on the satin and the light stains came out with a little dawn and water and dried with no ring. The lace around the bottom had some very dirty parts which I also spot cleaned. The lace at the bottom is not as white as it once was but it still looks beatiful when looking at the gown as a whole. There is no noticable spots on it but it is just not pristine like the satin. The dress is on the short side. It was either shortened or ordered special at that length. There is layers of crenoline underneath which if removed would make it a little longer. There are a few loose beads and one button that could use tightening. If you tighten it just add to the thread that is already there. Do not cut. The buttons are all connected. The beautiful sleeves which feature a puffed shoulder which tapers down to a delicate narrow wrist with covered buttons . The mesh front and back yoke with a beaded high neck are a very feminine touch. The skirt is big enough to accommodate another crenolin or hoop if it does not get to short for you. The train has a bottom potion that is see thru but very sturdy. Again exquisite. There is a bustle already built in and it is in good strong condition. The measurements of the dressform are 35.5 ... 24.5 ... 35.5. The hips of course could be bigger and the top also by a little bit but the waist is as it should be. And oh yea ...the bow is so designer. It it crisp and perfect still. I also have the original veil that was worn with it also. I do not have it listed yet.
