Made in the Americas, circa1980s, this handmade stoneware vase embodies the mid-century modern style of abstract art pottery. Three oddly shaped "handles" / "nubs" adorn the top. With a glossy finish and painted signature / artist mark, this unique piece is a beautiful addition to any studio pottery collection. I purchased it in California in the 1990's, if I remember correctly. Maybe around Sausalito. I've had it on display since then. Never put water in it or used it in any other way. I believe this is an early Will Illsey piece as it appears to be signed WI. Approximately 5" diameter and 3-1/4" tall.
