View 2+ozt Lg. Navajo BELT BUCKLE American Eagle STERLING SILVER Mediterranean Coral with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. This Eagle Buckle was made by a Navajo artist several decades ago. It is not signed with a Hallmark. I've been unable to identify the specific artist that made this. My guess is that is was made in the 1970's or 1980's based on the style and the techniques used.  Navajo unsigned     "American Eagle" Belt Buckle   Heavy Solid Sterling Silver  Mediterranean Red Branch Coral    Dimensions    3.0"" X 2.0 "   will accept a belt of up to 1.42 "   66.0 grams = 2.12 Troy ounces   Very Good to Excellent Condition   (all measurements are approximate)   The US Quarter (.95"=24mm) and $100 Bill (2 5/8"=66mm) X (6 1/8"=155mm) is for scale       This Eagle Buckle was made by a Navajo artist several decades ago.  It is not signed with a Hallmark. It is also not marked "Sterling", but is guaranteed to be Sterling Silver. I've been unable to identify the specific artist that made this. My guess is that is was made in the 1970's or 1980's based on the style and the techniques used.  This artist chose to use a method of construction that in this case that involves the fabrication of two separate constructions. Their is a Cast Sterling Silver Eagle that is mounted to the  flat Sterling Silver base buckle with the perimiter round bar and Coral added to complete it. The Coral is bezel mounted onto the base or foundation. There is a strong sense of motion too! I think that is difficult to achieve given the primitive nature of this fun buckle... Excellent!    I have examined the components very carefully and found no condition issues with the anything... There is no problem with missing or broken Coral or any other issues. It is all stable and solid. No dents, noticeable scratches, etc.   I love the variety techniques and skills that were demonstrated in the making of this.  If you feel the same magic, read on...
