Awesome antique miser's purse hand woven brown thread with faceted cut steel beads and featuring two steel bands with laurel leaf pattern that slide to open and close the bag. Lying flat the woven part of purse measures 12" long, there is additional different steel beaded fringe design at each end.  The one end has loop that graduate in size, and this end is very good with no damage.   The other end has damage and some missing beads to a fancy fringe pattern, as pictured.  The laurel leaf pattern steel bands that open and close bag do not easily move, and under one of them I can see some small damage.  They have been fixed where they are for probably over a century, and do not recommend moving them. Steel beads and bands very good, not rusty and bag displays beautifully. Condition: Pre-owned.
