Hand Blown Glass Tutti Frutti Bowl w/label Italian Multi Color Aventurine PRETTY Measures approx 6.25”x 5.25” and 2.25” tall. I believe this piece is an authentic vintage mid-century Murano “Tutti Frutti" art glass bowl. Hand blown in Italy. The bowl has vibrant swirls of colorful glass ribbons fanning out from the center in a pinwheel formation, layered over a classic white opaque (lattimo) cased exterior. This colorful bowl/style is attributed to master studios like Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.V.E.M.) or Dino Martins. They used patchwork glass canes and remnants to build a mosaic of brilliant hues. The freeform, multi-sided ruffled rim is a signature of 1950s-1960s Venetian glassmakers, who hand-shaped every piece while hot. It gets its shimmering, glittery effect scattered across the interior by the artist embedding fine metallic copper crystals into the molten glass while it is being worked. See pics. Selling as is. There are two small flaws that I noted. The one on the edge of the bowl is almost impossible to detect. It is very small and presents itself as a rough spot like a bubble on the surface. The second one is on the back. It almost looks like a burn spot. One area of spot is smooth the other is slightly raised and rough. I do not think these are chips I believe they developed during the bowl making process. I will let you be the judge of that. Condition: Used.
