The interior boasts a vibrant, complex "Tutti Frutti" explosion filled with multicolored millefiori (murrine) slices, dynamic confetti chips and shimmering genuine silver leaf foil flakes trapped beneath the surface layers. This specific biomorphic, folded-edge silhouette is highly iconic of the 1950s-1960s luxury designs of the legendary AVEM (Arte Vetaria Muranese) glassworks. Perfect as an upscale cocktail table centerpiece, trinket catchall, candy dish, ashtray or prized addition to a Murano collection. Authenticity guaranteed. Please see the included photo of the bottom base. This bowl features the unmistakable, highly polished matte-gray flat ground pontil base characteristic of authentic vintage Murano glasswork. This labor-intensive finish distinguishes true mid-century Venetian artisan glass from cheap, molded modern replicas.  Very good vintage condition with stunning color clarity. It retains a beautiful high-gloss shine. Please note there is normal, light shelfware scratching on the ground matte as pictured, which is typical for 1950s hand-blown glass and confirms its vintage age. There also are a few light surface scuff marks on the back exterior black glass from normal storage and shelf display over the decades. These are minor and do not detract from the gorgeous display quality. They're very pale and difficult to photograph, but I've photographed what I could for complete transparency. Please study the photographs carefully before ordering. We wrap our glassware and china very carefully in bubble wrap. We accept returns within 30 days, but it must be in original condition.
