Vintage Hand Painted Made in Japan Oil & Vinegar Cruet Set Beautiful matching vintage ceramic oil and vinegar cruet set featuring a warm orange/peach luster finish with metallic gold accents. Each cruet has an elegant elongated neck, applied handle and coordinating round gold-tone stopper. The fronts are individually marked “V” for Vinegar and “O” for Oil. The underside bears the vintage circular “HAND PAINTED – MADE IN JAPAN” backstamp. These pieces are representative of the decorative Japanese ceramics exported to the United States during the mid-20th century. Japanese manufacturers produced a wide variety of colorful lusterware and hand-decorated tableware for the American market, and pieces like these have become collectible for their distinctive Mid-Century appearance. Includes: - 1 Oil cruet - 1 Vinegar cruet - 2 matching gold-tone ball stoppers Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear. There is visible wear/tarnishing to portions of the metallic gold finish and some discoloration/wear around the bases and stoppers.
