View Vintage Cutter Quilt Dark Wool Suit Scraps Worn Antique Patchwork AS IS with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. Hand tied instead of quilted, machine stitching around edges but the piecing appears to have been done by hand with a heavy thread and applied to a muslin back (see photos). Backing is a gray and blue striped flannel. Vintage Crazy Quilt Antique Patchwork Dark Wool Suit Scraps Worn Cutter As Is  This vintage patchwork quilt is a unique and handmade piece that showcases a crazy quilt pattern made with suit scraps from the 1930s and 1940s. Measuring about 71" x 65", this antique quilt features beautiful dark colors.  Hand tied instead of quilted, machine stitching around edges but the piecing appears to have been done by hand with a heavy thread and applied to a muslin back (see photos).  Backing is a gray and blue striped flannel.  Front used all the pieces of a suit, including the silky linings.  Fabrics used feel like wool, gaberdine, flannel and silk but this is only a guess on my part.  Estate auction find.  Quilt weighs about 3# 5 oz without packing materials.  **NOTE: expect wear, loose patches, holes, stains, fraying, old wool odor, etc. from years of use and storage, buying as is, as pictured, issues noted Condition: Pre-owned.
