I’m thinking the art is Paris and the framing is London. A hemline which exposes ankles and sleeves at the elbow, well this was probably hidden from children for a few more decades. As you can see on the back the framer established in 1890 may have reframed or framed this already older print for the first time. A hemline which exposes ankles and sleeves at the elbow, well this was probably hidden from children for a few more decades. There is some age showing on the paper and it shows most as you examine toward the edges. Behind this glass alone 130 plus years, it might be worth asking a qualified person about removing for a clean up. All of that said, I’m surprised at just how nice it is right now.
