It has beautiful scattered embroidery with different flowers and a fan.   Quilt incorporates a silk reunion ribbon from Michigan Volunteers, Ann Arbor, 1889.   Quilt made in square blocks that are cotton print backed, perhaps blocks made by different artisans?   Measures 78 x 88 inches THE EDGES UNFINISHED ON ALL 4 SIDES.  Raw and jagged, no edge binding.  Because of this, I don't think quilt was ever really used and the condition is quite remarkable.   There is only one black silk piece that is badly frayed, and otherwise fabric all intact.   The embroidered details are lovely and some show through to back cotton side.    Condition: Pre-owned.
