This is a beautifully substantial ring with a large smooth turquoise cabochon set in a clean, sculptural sterling silver setting. Striking vintage modernist sterling silver and turquoise statement ring, made in Thailand. This is a beautifully substantial ring with a large smooth turquoise cabochon set in a clean, sculptural sterling silver setting. The stone is a lovely pale blue with delicate tan matrix running across the surface. The reverse of the cabochon is visible through the open back of the setting. The design has a wonderful modernist feel, with a broad polished silver band flowing into the simple bezel setting. There is very little ornamentation, allowing the shape of the silver and the turquoise itself to carry the design. It has a substantial, beautifully made feel on the hand. Marked 925, THAILAND, and NF inside the band.
