Brand/Maker:  The underside of the tray features three pseudohallmarks stamped inside shield shapes: a stylized letter ' M ', another stylized design resembling a fleur-de-lis or a central ' M ', and a Crown over the letter 'C'  These specific marks are a well-documented mystery in the silver community. For many years, they were commonly misattributed to the prominent Spanish maker Meneses Orfebres of Madrid . However, researchers and family members of the firm have clarified that these pseudo-hallmarks do not belong to Meneses. They are imitation hallmarks used by a mid-to-late 20th-century manufacturer to give the piece a classic, antique European aesthetic.   Condition: Tarnished.
