Family-owned since new: My father acquired this Japanese Dragonware set inBrazil in the late 1960s. Complete vintage Japanese Dragonware set containing six lithophane geisha cups and six matching saucers in its original fitted presentation box. Each cup reveals a detailed geisha portrait when held toward the light and features raised moriage dragon decoration. Family-owned since new:  My father acquired this Japanese Dragonware set in  Brazil in the late 1960s . It has remained in our family ever since and was  never used . The set includes six matching demitasse cups and six matching saucers, presented in a fitted blue satin-lined presentation case. Each of the six cups reveals a detailed geisha portrait in the base when held to light. All six lithophanes are intact and display beautifully. The saucers bear a distinctive red Japanese maker/export mark featuring a geometric emblem, Japanese characters and “MADE IN JAPAN.” The exact manufacturer has not been conclusively identified, so no unsupported maker attribution is being made. Condition:  Excellent vintage condition overall. The pottery has been very well preserved. There is one tiny chip on the outer rim of one saucer, photographed for full disclosure. This is the only pottery defect noted. No other chips, cracks or repairs observed. Please review all photographs, including the backlit photographs showing the lithophane portraits. Includes:  6 lithophane demitasse cups, 6 matching saucers and fitted blue presentation/storage case. A particularly attractive complete set for a collector of Japanese Dragonware, moriage porcelain, lithophane cups or mid-century Japanese export ceramics. Condition: Used.
