Antique Chinese Qing Child’s Embroidered Silk Cloud Collar Floral Panels Matted Elaborately constructed antique Chinese child’s cloud collar featuring six individually embroidered silk panels arranged around a soft blue silk ground. Each colorful panel displays a different floral or fruiting motif, creating a “Hundred Flowers” style composition filled with traditional auspicious symbolism. Based on the shapes of the flowers, leaves and buds, the panels appear to depict: • Upper magenta panel: stylized plum blossoms and flowering branches. Plum blossoms symbolize resilience, renewal and hope because they bloom at the end of winter. • Upper-right green panel: a large peony surrounded by smaller blossoms and scrolling foliage.
