Designed by the legendary Massimo Vignelli, this iconic round orb pattern is highly recognizable for its minimalist aesthetic and matte glazed finish. Today I am offering this fabulous pair of vintage sphere salt and pepper shakers. These retro ball shakers are vintage 1980s era with a MCM vibe. These are Sasaki Colorstone salt and pepper shakers. Designed by the legendary Massimo Vignelli, this iconic round orb pattern is highly recognizable for its minimalist aesthetic and matte glazed finish. The pattern was manufactured in Japan and distributed through the late 1980s, early 1990s. The color of this specific pair is known as Vert De Gris (a muted sage/teal green hue). In traditional shaker design conventions, the sphere with 5 holes is used for pepper, while the sphere with 3 holes is intended for salt. They are in excellent vintage pre-owned condition with no damage.
