The calligraphy consists of two big characters, and there is a delicate floral pattern at the back with flying butterflies. The border has gold chrysanthemum flowers on a dark blue background. This piece is signed and has red seals. Kakejiku is a Japanese picture or calligraphy mounted on a piece of paper. Kakejiku was a tool to spread Buddhism in Japan. It has been integrated with Japanese culture as interior decoration. Tokokake is used at the Tokonoma in tatami room. Chakake uses Zen words in the tea ceremony room. Buddha-kake is used in the Buddhist altar.
