The standard and the bowl have been joined with a wafer. The glass is water clear. Wheeling, WV; Challinor, Taylor & Co. Pittsburgh, PA; Doyle & Co. This is a beautiful and simple pattern called Loop. This compote is made of Flint Glass. This open compote with deep bowl is 8.5" tall and 9.25" in diameter at the scalloped rim. The bowl is 3.75" deep. The foot is 5" in diameter. The standard and the bowl have been joined with a wafer. The glass is water clear. There are some bubbles and straw marks but there are no chips or cracks, the outside of the bowl has a few tiny tiny flea bites (nothing to distraction) The pattern was made by several glass companies including; Central Glass Co. Wheeling, WV; Challinor, Taylor & Co. Pittsburgh, PA; Doyle & Co. Pittsburgh, PA; McKee Brothers, Pittsburgh, PA; O'Hara Glass Co. Pittsburgh, PA; Portland Glass Co. Portland, ME; Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. Sandwich, MA and many more. Some of the original names of this pattern are: Central's No. 145; O'Hara No. 9; Portland Petal; McKee's O'Hara Pattern and Seneca Loop.
