Very rare rare antique Asian (likely Chinese) red coral necklace with solid gold (tests at 14K) tonque and groove hand made. Clasp condition is excellent. The red coral beads are held on with an older flimsy string which the new owner may want tt consider having restrung professionally. Very rare rare antique Asian (likely Chinese) red coral necklace with solid gold (tests at 14K) tonque and groove hand made.  Clasp reverse side bears a small cartouche (see close-up in photo attached) clasp which is either a gold assay mark or maker's mark. Clasp condition is excellent.  The red coral beads are held on with an older flimsy string which the new owner may want tt consider having restrung professionally. I am sure a competent pearl stringer can be hired for such a job.  Necklace length is 13 inches unclasped and approximately 12.75 inches clasped.  This is a very old piece. Possibly 19th century. Condition: Good condition. Clasp is in superb working condition. New owner may want to consider professionally restringing the red coral beads..
